In 1991 I started writing a variety of poetry and short stories. Like many people, I wanted to share my writing with other people, and not just my high school. Round about 1995 I joined Poetry.com and posted a number of my poems with them. Quite a few got selected for publishing with them into books and then onto vocal albums. However I was not satisfied as keeping myself to a max of 20 lines or keeping it within certain guidelines was a limit that I did not want to deal with. Due to a variety of stupidity on my part, i could not do much more with my poems until early 2004 when I created Amatuer Writers website using the Angelfire hosting program. However, my programming knowledge was extremely limited at that time as was my income and I could not afford to do much with my site. Over the course of 4 years I have had a variety of authors join the site and host their writings with me. I am deeply appreciative of the time and patience several of them have had with me. Each had their own brand of help, even to the point of helping me to stay sane, lol... Now times have changed and many of those I once had beside me for help have gone their own ways, and new people have come to stand beside me with new ideas. Although a lot has changed, it is amazing to look back and see how much has stayed the same. Again I am truly thankful for each and every person who has been there along the way as the site has grown. To each author that either has been, currently is, and those who will be part of this site... My enormous thanks to each and every one of you, for you are what it is all about. You are the reason the site is here, and will remain to be here for as long as possible. Thank You!
