Briefly I sat and wrote
all of the dream I had,
before I forgot it
and it passed swiftly on.
We talked and danced all night
gaily laughing at dinner,
and enjoying each other
as only friends can do.

Last night's dream was clear
and easy to interpret,
yet I pause a moment
to think through my actions.
You deserve more than me
but I pray for your love,
to make me forever yours
for as long as we live.
