Death of a False Pretense
Am I the secret kept in the dark,
The black sheep of the family,
Is it that we've gone too far,
Or is it that you're ashamed of me,

Was it something I did,
Or something I said,
Because you're treating me,
As if my heart is dead,

Do I cut the binding ties,
And forget all about you,
Or should I just lie down,
And let you continue,

The wretched agony is beginning to taste sweet,
As my heart gradually slows its beat,
And I feel my luscious end arisen,
With your bleeding face as my last vision,
