Talking to thin air would get me more of a response
Do you not understand that I do it all to protect you? I'm not saying that I'm perfect, that I know it all
But I know the wrong path and how hard it is to navigate
Think of life as a road map and you're headed down a dead end road. If someone told you the directions to a place
Would you take every road but the one they gave you
Or would you listen to what they said because they were already there? I've been there, I've done that, and I can tell you
It was no fun and the consequences were steep
So listen to me, my child, because I've been there before.
