Take a few thousand residents, A couple of authority figures, A whole lot of work-- Blend them all together And you have the job of an RA. Despite all that, it can be fun If you choose to make it so. All it takes is enthusiasm, Creativity and a firm belief That everything will turn out Just fine in the end. Every once in awhile, A little luck helps out a lot, But you can't depend on it. You have to plan, and plan, And plan some more. Then execute said plan, Exactly the way you planned it. There are always going to be Those huge disasters. That goes without saying. No one ever said that it would be easy. In fact, they promised it wouldn't. You just handle the floods, The fires, and the fights, With as much dignity as you can And trust in your training To get everyone through alright. All in all, the rewards are worth it-- Most of the time anyway. At the end of the year, When all of your residents are safe (And thankfully GONE!) You get to say, "I surrvived." Then, you're really an RA. Dedicated to that hard working Housing Staff at every university or college.
