Many of you know me and know that today marks the eight year anniversary to a very tragic loss to me and my family. We lost three very precious people. Those of us who sat helplessly waiting for the news felt the time drag by turning minutes into hours and hours into days it seems. Times and years have passed, but each of us still remembers that day and the pain that it held.
Veronica Birney, my aunt and possibly the best friend I had in the world, was killed almost instantly we were told, when her car was broadsided by a utility truck that was traveling faster than legal limit. My apologies to family and friends for the lateness of this memorial being posted on the site. I have not been the fastest on researching a lot of things like this myself.
I only met Joseph a couple of times, yet he was still family and from all that I was told about him, he was a great person to know and to have around. To be killed at so young an age is a real loss to the world. The family has truly suffered a loss in losing him. I wish to offer condolences to the rest of the family both near and far.
Every so often in our lives we come across a single person who truly impacts us to such an extent that his/her teaching or wisdom reaches through everything else. During the time I knew Ron, he taught me alot about life, and in many ways forced me to learn even more about myself. While our paths did diverge due to family reasons and choices, I will always remember and carry within me all that he taught me. He was a friend, and a father, and a grandfather to many, and his wisdom will carry on through each and every one who knew him.
I hope that as you look down upon us Ron, that you will know that you will not ever be forgotten. Our lives are so much better for having known you, and the light you shone upon us, will be pass
